Hydrochloric Acid
Hydrochloric acid is an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride (chemical formula: HCl). It is a colorless solution with a distinctive pungent smell. It is classified as a strong acid. Hydrochloric acid is an important laboratory reagent and industrial chemical with wide variety of applications.
Applications
Primary applications include steel production, production of bleaching earth, synthetic rubber and gelatin production.
MATERIAL HANDLING
Advised to store in a cool, dry, well ventilated storage area with acid resistant floor and good drainage. In order to avoid physical damage, it should be kept clear of direct sunlight, exposure to heat, water, and other incompatible materials.
